Community members can be integral in the success of New Orleans' schools by serving as board members at public charter schools. If you're a passionate New Orleanian looking to make a difference in public education, we need you to be a board member.
If you are interested in volunteering your expertise, connections, and time to governing a public school, New Schools for New Orleans invites you to apply for our "Board Bank." This bank of enthusiastic individuals is made available to both developing and existing charter schools in need of talented members for their boards.
If you are presently a member of a charter school board, NSNO serves as a resource for support and advice on how to function as a successful team. Our events calendar is frequently updated with board governance training and forums available to board members of public charter schools in New Orleans.
All community members can positively impact the children of New Orleans by serving on a charter school board. For more information about becoming a board member, click here or contact Nancy Burvant at nancy@nsno.org.
