Achieving Excellent Schools for Every Child In New Orleans

NOLA TIF - A Performance-Based Compensation System

On September 23, NSNO was awarded a $13.17 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education's 2010 Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) to reward and retain outstanding teachers and leaders in New Orleans. The program, NOLA TIF, aligns performance pay with meaningful evaluations, highly effective professional development, and teacher career advancement. Teachers and leaders will be measured along several criteria, including student value-added growth and school and classroom observations. Teachers who have demonstrated significant student achievement growth can be promoted to leadership roles and receive supplemental compensation.

As available, Requests for Proposal and updates on associated NOLA TIF opportunities will be published here for both review and PDF download. Submission instructions and timelines are included in each document. Questions related to the New Schools for New Orleans - NOLA TIF postings found here should be directed to the NSNO Human Capital Fellow Matt Matera at mmatera@nsno.org.
